Since 2003, In His Wakes has been introducing people to the life changing power of Jesus Christ through the avenue of water sports. Through their A Day to Remember and On the Shores programs thousands of people are being encouraged and equipped to connect to God, the ultimate Power Source and say, “Hit it!” to Him… for victory only comes when you get off the dock!
The Challenge
In His Wakes approached us initially with the need of updating and fixing some broken plugins on their previous website. However, upon discussing further, it became clear that a full redesign of the website was needed.
With an outdated style and layout that left unclear directives to call to action in learning more about their programs and reaching out to book, we looked at their needs as an organization in terms of communication to assess what elements needed to be included.
Because In His Wakes is an event-based non-profit organization, it was crucial that access to their events calendar was clear, along with the ability to learn more about their programs.
The Transformation
After strategy and brainstorming meetings that took us to the heart of In His Wakes' passion and mission, we began the design process. The end result of the website redesign set a new trajectory for the organization in visually telling the story throughout the pages to invite the viewer into their mission.
The website overhaul and revamp included taking steps to update plugins and ensure that methods of communication were connected in building email lists through their contact form, along with integrating their Facebook feed, which provides regular updates to the website as well.
All in all, the new website has proved to set a fresh approach to the organization and "why" behind In His Wakes.
